Breeding Gando crocodile in south Iran

The short-nosed crocodile breeding farm is one of the attractions of Chabahar City, which is located near Abkan village.

AKA Gando in local language, there are about a hundred crocodiles in this complex, which are kept in several separate enclosures separated by walls.

This collection is considered as a gene bank and population bank for the species, and when the population of the species is on the verge of extinction, the offspring of the farm can be sent into nature to restore the population.
